Frequently Asked Questions

Does iSpoof work on the iPod Touch?

Absolutely! When you install iSpoof, you be prompted to enter a phone number (can be either a cell phone or landline.) When you place your call, iSpoof will show you a convenient local access number that you can dial with your telephone. Once you call the access number, your call will be connected!

For an even simpler experience, you can turn on "CallBack Mode" (see below) in the iSpoof settings. Using this mode, our system will call you back on the number you entered during setup. As soon as you pick up, your call will be connected.

I placed my call, but iSpoof dialed a completely different number!

In order to make iSpoof's advanced features work, your calls are sent through one of our 'Access Numbers.' If you live in America, this number will probably start with 212. When your call is placed, stay on the line and we'll make sure your call goes where its supposed to. This approach offers additional benefits as well—in some cases it's actually cheaper (and sometimes free) to dial internationally with iSpoof!

What is a "CallBack"?

This feature is only available from the US, Canada and select international countries. Enter in all the fields and our system will "Call you Back" and connect your call for you. This feature is only available for premium customers.

I Installed iSpoof But I Can't Find the Icon

Try going into Cydia and installing the free app named "Categories". You shouldn't even need to run Catagories as the iSpoof icon will typically appear after the install. More advanced users can SSH into their phone and run the following commands:

rm /var/mobile/Library/Caches/com.apple.mobile.installation.plist
killall SpringBoard

What Company Name shows up on my Billing Statement?

You will see a charge for "Advanced Call Technologies".

I got an "AVS Mismatch", What does that mean?

AVS is "Address Verification System". You can get an "AVS Mismatch" for many reasons. When you get an "AVS Mismatch" your bank puts a hold on the amount you tried to purchase. We did NOT charge you and DO NOT have your money. Your bank usually releases the hold within 48 hours. If you continue to get "AVS Mismatch" and would like alternate payment methods, please contact us here. We can assure you we have no payments from you and have not taken any money from you.

Can I make Free calls?

You can only call to the US, Canada and select international numbers, but can call from anywhere. There is a limit of two (2) minutes per call. The voice changer, recording and call back features are not available.

How do I make an international calls, or have an international number as the Spoof Caller ID?

For BOTH Calling and Spoofing any International (non-USA) number you must enter a "+" then the Country code and the number. For example if you had the United Kingdom phone number (0)1234-56-78, your would enter this into iSpoof as +44-12345678 or 011-44-12345678.

You don't have a local access number for my country. What can I do?

Please email us and let us know where you're calling from and we will look into getting local numbers in your country. Untill then, you have two options. You can continue calling one of our existing access numbers and be charged long distance by your carrier, or you can get a Skype number in the United States. Enter your Skype number in iSpoof settings as 'My Phone #' and enable the option to use CallBack Mode.
